PITCH began 8 years ago in London, when and where I first experimented with public improvisation and score-building. At that time, the project was called water[proof].
In Portland, PITCH has been 4 women cultivating a performance practice in public sites, including Jamison Square, the Naito Fountains, Ladd Circle, the Oregon Convention Center, Alberta Street, and many more. We publicized our process — workshopping ideas, improvising, talking, photographing, accumulating — as we interacted with the landscape of our city.
We adapt to terrain. Concrete and Dirt. Work and Play. Public and Private.
